Bettina Jureck: New SPD leader in Porz focuses on social justice!
Bettina Jureck played an important role in the recent election as the new parliamentary group leader of the SPD parliamentary group in the Porz district council. The committed politician, who comes from Ensen and has been a member of the district council since 2020, wants to bring a breath of fresh air and new ideas to local politics. In her role she is supported by the newly elected deputy parliamentary group leaders Jutta Komorowski and Nils Beuthert in order to achieve the SPD's goals in Porz.
“Local politics is the key to changes that can have a big impact locally,” Jureck is convinced. Her political priorities are affordable housing, reliable local transport and equal opportunities. These issues have high priority, especially in the current tense situation in Cologne, and Jureck sees a lot of potential in the Porz district. She particularly emphasizes the lively club life and the enormous social commitment, which support the common good.
New paths in the SPD Poll-Ensen-Westhoven
The annual general meeting of the SPD local association Poll-Ensen-Westhoven also recently took place, at which a new board was elected. Bettina Jureck gave up her chairmanship and handed the helm over to Lukas Lorenz, who is already a member of the Cologne City Council and has many years of experience on the board. “I would like to concentrate on my mandate in the Porz district council,” explained Jureck, confirming her focus on local affairs.
The new deputy chairmen are Martina Heukrodt, Simon Bujanowski and Bettina Jureck herself, who is valued by the board for her specialist knowledge. Magnus Krüger also no longer stood for chairmanship, and the annual general meeting elected Marion Weck as cashier and Ingo Jureck as the new secretary. The new board of the SPD shows a mixture of fresh air and experienced know-how. Porz online reports that the goal of the new board is to strengthen the SPD both locally and nationally.
Social values at the center
The SPD has always been committed to social policy, and Bettina Jureck represents these values emphatically in the Porz district. At a time when social justice and participation are on the agenda, the party insists on maintaining and promoting a strong welfare state. Their motto, “Social policy for you,” is reflected in their concerns, which include, among other things, basic pensions, good daycare laws and a minimum wage. SPD.de emphasizes that these concerns should benefit each of the 83 million people in Germany, regardless of origin, skin color, sexual orientation or religion.
With her clear agenda and her commitment, Bettina Jureck not only wants to enrich the political discussions in Porz, but also have a concrete influence on the lives of the local people. In her new role as parliamentary group leader, it is clear: the challenges in local politics are great, but Jureck is ready to face them and continue to advocate for the interests of her community.
