The participating daycare centers came from the two districts: Marienberger Weg, Hartenfelsweg and Longericher Straße from Lindweiler as well as St. Dionysius, St. Bernhard and Heilig Geist from Longerich. The attractions left nothing to be desired. The children's and youth circus Linoluckynelli offered a hands-on manege that gave all children the opportunity to try simple tricks. In addition, a bouncy castle, face painting, handicrafts and many other activities were offered. The highlight of the festival was the appearance of the band Classööör, which stimulated with their child -friendly songs to sing together and jump together. Ralf Krep, Head of Child and Youth Work by the Lino Club, explained the special connection to the musicians who loosened up the atmosphere in no time with their music.
The festival was not only fun for the children, but also an opportunity for the parents, neighbors and interested parties to exchange ideas and make contacts. Krep and Guido Geiss, head of the CARIKIDS performance area, emphasized the important role of the event on the social cohesion between the districts. Singing and celebrating together contributed to reducing prejudices and creating a feeling of community.
