Things are really busy these days in the Elisengarten in Aachen! On June 22, 2025, the CHIO Aachen mascot Karli entered the stage and enchanted the audience with his lively start. Together with four talented musicians from the Aachen Symphony Orchestra, the garden was transformed into an open-air concert stage. The performance served as an exciting foretaste of the upcoming “Horse & Symphony” event, which will take place on June 27th and 28th, 2025. “Summer in the city” is the motto and it promises a combination of music and equestrian sport that shouldn't be missed.

The first sounds of this musical spectacle will be conducted by Christopher Ward, the general music director of the city of Aachen. The program is a colorful mix of classic Spanish rhythms and summery melodies. One of the highlights is the performance of the Royal Riding School of Córdoba Ecuestre from Spain, which will delight the audience with their skills. The shows by Lisa and Matthes Röckener, who present free work and calm training, are also a must. Things get really adventurous when Laury Tisseur from France dances standing up on a galloping horse.

A diverse program

But that's not all! Britta Rasche-Merkt's show team and the Ferberberg Ballet School from Aachen will also demonstrate their skills. The junior team from the Cologne-Dünnwald vaulting club will also provide excitement with acrobatic performances. In addition, spectators can expect an impressive vaulting show from Jerome Sefer and Kevin Ferreira, who are traveling from France.
