Branicks Group shines with strong rental figures in Cologne and Erding!

Branicks Group, formerly known as DIC Asset, reported impressive numbers in the second quarter of 2025. With a rental performance of 214,700 square meters, the company shows that it is operating successfully even in a demanding market. This is real progress compared to the previous year, as only 181,000 square meters were rented in the same period in 2024. It is noteworthy that the total rental performance is divided into two categories: new rentals of 104,000 square meters and renewals of existing contracts for 110,700 square meters, as Bondguide reports.

A highlight in Cologne is the long-term rental agreement with EDUTAIN AG, which covers an area of 32,500 square meters and 400 parking spaces. In this new experience and learning center called Exploradom, a unique concept is to be realized that will certainly cause a stir. A significant lease in the logistics sector was also announced: EgeSun has signed a 10-year contract for 26,699 square meters in Achim, Käthe-Kruse-Straße 2.

Strong market position and reliable earnings

In her statements, Sonja Wärntges, the chairwoman of the board, emphasizes the consistency and reliability of the operational business. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Branicks Group has established itself as a leading provider of office and logistics properties. Until March 31, 2025, the company will manage real estate with a total market value of 11.2 billion euros.

An overview of the current rental successes also provides an insight into the general market situation in Germany. According to an analysis by Colliers, high-quality logistics space in tight markets was quickly rented out again. Sublet space in Cologne was also quickly absorbed. This shows that take-up in the top 8 regions is growing. This is particularly clear in Düsseldorf, where a remarkable increase of 145 percent was recorded compared to the previous year.

Customers in the Branicks portfolio are often tenants with strong credit ratings, which further underlines the stability of the company. According to Branicks, rental agreements with three financial and banking institutions for a total of 34,000 square meters were extended at the end of 2023. A prominent example is the “Golden House” in Frankfurt, where the Agrarliche Rentenbank has increased its area by 13,000 square meters.

Market callbacks and future outlook

These achievements are part of a comprehensive action plan that Branicks Group has launched with “Performance 2024”. Even if there are differences in the availability of space at the national level - while Leipzig and Berlin have high availability, Hamburg achieved the highest take-up of space with 121,000 square meters - it is clear that the demand for office and logistics space remains strong.

In summary, Branicks Group remains well positioned both through its operational strength and its broad investor network. The mix of new rentals and contract extensions ensures stable long-term income, which is particularly important given the dynamic market. The future looks promising for the company and the initiatives in Cologne could soon bear fruit.
