Cologne celebrates: Grape and Hop Festival attracts beer and wine lovers!

Next weekend from August 15th to 17th, 2025, the people of Cologne can look forward to a varied program that offers ideal summer conditions and numerous events. The weather is at its best and is perfect for outdoor activities. The Rhine promenade in the old town will be the setting for the 5th Grape and Hop Festival, which attracts many wine and beer lovers.

The festival takes place in one of the most beautiful places in Cologne, along the Rhine promenade between the Hohenzollern Bridge and Machabäerstrasse. Every day, guests can expect wines from different regions such as Germany, Italy and Spain. The numerous Kölsch variations and different craft beers can be enjoyed, especially in the beer gardens. Admission is free, which makes the event particularly attractive - ideal for families and friends who want to enjoy it together. Parallel to the grape and hop festival, a happy street festival will take place in the Agnesviertel on Saturday, August 16th and Sunday, August 17th. This event is also free and certainly offers something for every taste – young and old.

Creative markets and concerts for the whole family

If you are looking for culinary highlights, you should definitely visit the gourmet and evening market on Auerbachplatz in Sülz on Friday, August 15th. From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., a wide range of dishes and delicious offerings are waiting to be discovered. While some are enjoying themselves, others can enjoy the cultural offerings in Cologne.

Even more highlights: The musical “Cats” is being performed in the Cologne Philharmonic Hall, while the band “Molchat Doma” is giving a concert in the Carlswerk Victoria.
