Schwarz-Weiß Köln: With power into the new district league season!

SC Schwarz-Weiß Köln is heading into the upcoming district league season with full enthusiasm. After a difficult preseason, coach Sven Müller has formed a team that is ready to make a strong statement. Before the opening game against SV Frielingsdorf, Müller is optimistic and emphasizes the hard work that was done in preparation. “We did our best to prepare the team optimally,” said Müller. The home advantage could be crucial, as the fans will certainly bring an extra dose of motivation.

The first game against SV Frielingsdorf, who was promoted from the A Berg district league, promises to be anything but easy. The guests travel to Cologne with a lot of euphoria, and coach Andreas Dreiner is expecting an emotional duel. Unfortunately, he will have to do without several regular players, which further complicates the situation. Nevertheless, the performance of SC Schwarz-Weiß, which has learned its lessons from last season, is being looked forward to with excitement.

Keep an eye on the competition

The district league will be characterized by exciting encounters this season. DJK Südwest returns after a year in the state league and competes against FC Hürth II in the first game. Hürth finished in a solid sixth place last season with 44 points. Coach Daniel Errens' team is well positioned as all players should be available apart from new signing Hampel. “We want to start with a positive feeling,” says Errens.

Another highlight is the meeting between Deutz 05, the relegated team, and TV Hopesthal, who finished eighth last season. Deutz coach Ali Meybodi senses the impatience within his team and is determined to show a clear reaction. Hopesthal is also struggling with unconvincing preparation, so both teams urgently need a sense of success.

The view of the duels

Another derby is coming up between Rheindörfern and Ford Niehl. Coach Dogan Oymak is looking forward to the start, but will have to do without some players, which could affect the team's strategy. Newly promoted Heiligenhaus has prepared well and will face Germania Zündorf, who finished ninth last season. Heiligenhaus will also be without two players. This is a challenge that coaches must deal with skillfully.

Rheinsüd, an experienced representative of the district league, welcomes the newly promoted team SC Brühl. Brühl coach Arif Cinar warns against Rheinsüd and will have to do without his missing captain. Rheinsüd coach Stefan Krämer, on the other hand, wants to take the momentum from the cup and start the first game.

Another interesting duel is between Jan Wellem, who came third in the previous season, and the promoted team TFC Köln. Jan Wellem coach Alex Voigt sees his team's duty to keep points at home, while TFC coach Oguz Kahraman sees the opponent as favorites. And last but not least: Schönenbach meets Bergfried in the top game between the two teams from the top third of the table. Bergfried coach Hannes Diekamp has major personnel problems that can put a strain on the team in this early phase.

The anticipation for the new season is clearly noticeable. The teams are willing to learn from past mistakes and continue the positive development. SC Schwarz-Weiß Köln has big plans and will take to the pitch next weekend with a large audience behind them. It remains to be seen whether the efforts of preparation will bear fruit!
