Cologne is becoming the series capital: The series camp festival 2025 starts!

The city of Cologne will be transformed into a vibrant series capital again from June 3rd to 5th. As part of the Series camp festivals The thirteenth edition is taking place, and the anticipation is literally palpable. This year, not only the festival itself is a highlight, but also the associated “Series Camp Conference”, which will also take place in Ehrenfeld from June 3rd to 5th.

The festival starts with the WDR production “Hundred Thirteen,” which premieres on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Cinenova. The series deals with the aftermath of a tragic bus accident and promises exciting insights, portrayed by a well-known cast, including Robert Stadtlober and Anna Schudt. Another highlight is the premiere of the high school dramedy “Dinosaur Club” on Wednesday, June 4th at 6:30 p.m. This original story revolves around an experimental testosterone product that “dinofizes” students.

Diverse program and local stars

This year's program has a colorful palette in store for fans and experts. In addition to “One Hundred and Thirteen” and “Club of the Dinosaurs,” the RTLplus production “Softies” with the popular “Maxton Hall” star Damian Hardung will also premiere on Thursday, June 5th at 8:45 p.m. Visitors can also look forward to other series such as “Chabos” with Anke Engelke and the exciting documentary series “Love Scam”, which sheds light on the fraud scam in Cologne. Festival director Simone Schellmann highlights the warm reception from the local series community.

As part of the “Seriencamp Conference”, participants can expect exciting discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence in film, international co-productions and innovative financing options. This conference is aimed at trade visitors and offers an inspiring environment for networking and creative exchange. After last year's success with over 800 participants, the conference promises interesting impulses and valuable insights this time too.
