On Friday, August 15, 2025, there was a tragic traffic accident in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district that claimed the life of a 22-year-old motorcyclist. The accident occurred around 10:50 a.m. when a 51-year-old driver who was driving from a parking lot onto the TÖL24 district road overlooked two approaching motorcycles. The first driver was able to get out of the way in time, but the motorcyclist on his Ducati crashed head-on into the woman's BMW.
Unfortunately, the young driver sustained serious injuries and died at the scene of the accident. His 30-year-old companion suffered shock but was uninjured. The driver got off lightly and was uninjured. The accident site was closed until around 3:00 p.m. for the investigation, with the police, several fire departments, rescue workers and even an Austrian rescue helicopter being called in to rescue the driver and clarify the accident. The Munich II public prosecutor's office has taken over the investigation and called in an expert to clarify the exact circumstances of the incident.
