Winter joy in Cologne: Creative courses for the whole family!
The dark season has begun, and the Evangelical Family Education Center (fbs) Cologne is offering an exciting winter program from November 2025 that focuses on creativity, cuisine and community. It is an invitation for everyone who would like to shape these special months together. The fbs website provides all the information and registration options for the numerous offers.
The program includes a variety of events aimed at families, children and adults. The first highlights have already been determined: The “Music Fleas” for the little ones starts today, November 3rd, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. This group is aimed at children aged 1.5 to 3 and promises musical journeys of discovery. Anyone who would like to be active with their child will have the opportunity to take part in a parent-child playgroup from November 7, 2025, which is intended for parents with children aged 1 to 3.
Winter highlights for families
A very special date is the Advent brunch on November 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., which welcomes families with children aged 5 and over. To increase the anticipation of Christmas, the fbs is offering two events on December 6th: a Christmas craft for children aged 5 and over and a Christmas workshop in which candles are made and crafted, which starts at 12:30 p.m.
But that's not all. Adults can look forward to a series of culinary and creative workshops. The vegetarian winter cooking course starts on November 14th, 2025, followed by “Taste of India” on November 15th and other delicious offers such as the “Cookie Carousel” on November 28th. During the Christmas season, courses such as “Gifts from the Kitchen” and “Indian Winter Cooking” are also on the program.
Creative offers at a glance
The fbs not only values cooking, but also creative activities. From November 15th, 2025, those interested can put their skills to the test in a bag sewing workshop or take part in the DIY preparation of table and door wreaths on November 25th. A highlight for art lovers is the online course for designing watercolor Christmas cards, which starts on December 5th.
For those who prefer more flexible formats, fbs also offers various online specials. Topics such as “Non-violent communication” and “Participation in everyday family life” are on the agenda and invite you to be active even from home.
Sharing memories and experiences
The GoKonfetti courses offer a wonderful opportunity for children to sharpen their creative eye. There are over 266 workshops for children aged 1 to 12, which offer great opportunities to spend time together with parents or grandparents. The offerings range from craft courses and creative craft projects to exciting painting courses and baking events.
The courses are ideal for children's birthdays and offer the opportunity to combine creative workshops. Parents can sit back and relax and watch their little ones develop their creativity.
