Fake parcel delivery man threatens Cologne-Höhenhaus residents with a knife!
A shocking incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, June 19th, in Braunlager Weg in Cologne-Höhenhaus. Loud Cologne City Gazette The police were looking for a suspect who had posed as a fake parcel delivery person. At around 3:00 p.m., the perpetrator rang the doorbell of a 28-year-old resident and gained access to the apartment building.
The stranger suddenly forced the resident into his apartment and threatened him with a kitchen knife. The incident ended in a robbery: the perpetrator stole cash and other personal items from the victim. The police seized an empty package in front of the murder apartment and began investigating evidence.
Description of the perpetrator
As investigators reported, the suspect is described as an English-speaking man, around 20 to 25 years old, around 170 cm tall and dressed entirely in black. The Cologne police are asking the public for support and are accepting tips on 0221 229-0 or by email at poststelle.koeln@polizei.nrw.de.
The practice of impersonating a delivery person is not new, but recently the number of such incidents has been increasing. As in the article by Picture mentioned, it is a scam that gangsters are increasingly using to break into homes and attack their victims.
