Yesterday evening, October 31, 2025, police forces were called to a tumultuous incident in Cologne-Widdersdorf. Witnesses reported a 24-year-old woman who was rioting in an emotional state of emergency. In particular, she tried to set a car on fire, which alerted the officers. But the situation escalated further when the woman then fled in a rental car and shot several times at the emergency services. The pursuit of the female rioter ended on the Georg-Mendel-Ring when she lost control of her vehicle and had an accident. Fortunately, she was uninjured, but was taken to a nearby clinic for examination due to the incident. Interestingly, the 24-year-old's breath alcohol test came back negative. When searching their getaway vehicle, the officers also discovered a PTB weapon, i.e. a blank pistol, which further supported the suspicion of attempted homicide. Now the woman is being investigated and she must expect serious consequences, as Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger reports.
