Unknown man causes excitement: the police are also alerted!
An incident recently occurred in the small town of Markgröningen that caused unrest: an unknown man was accused of causing a public nuisance at a sports field on Jahnstrasse on Wednesday evening, July 9, 2025. At around 9 p.m. he encountered a 27-year-old walker, in front of whom he allegedly performed an inappropriate act when no other people were in sight. The woman reacted immediately and informed the police, who are now investigating the man, of whom no trace has yet been found. This is reported by Tixio.
The description of the man we are looking for is succinct: He is described as being around 1.60 meters tall, corpulent, bald and with narrow eyes. At the time of the incident he was wearing turquoise shorts and a dark T-shirt. “Witnesses who observed something or who can provide information about this incident are asked to report to the Markgröningen police station,” said a police spokesman. Investigators hope to gather more information through public tips to identify the man and bring him to justice.
Legal aspects and public perception
But what exactly does causing public nuisance mean? According to the legal lexicon Juraforum these are sexual acts that are carried out in public and hurt people's views. If people observe these actions and feel disgusted by them, it can be classified as a public nuisance. The legal framework is clear: Section 183a StGB regulates such actions and provides for penalties in the event of intentional behavior that can range from fines to one year in prison.
The special thing about this case is that it is an official offense. This means that the state is obliged to move forward with the investigation regardless of whether a complaint is made. The investigators must therefore clarify whether the man intentionally wanted to be observed. This could be of great importance in this context, as the assessment of such acts depends heavily on individual circumstances.
An appeal to the population
