Outdoor pool season starts in Cologne: All the information you need for the perfect summer!
The outdoor pool season in Cologne has finally begun! Here is an overview of all the open-air pools and indoor pools with outdoor pools that are waiting for bathing enthusiasts in the cathedral city this summer. The selection is huge and there is something for every taste.
One of the most famous outdoor swimming pools is the Agrippabad in downtown Cologne. Visitors can swim here from Monday to Friday between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., and on weekends it is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. With an entrance fee of 7.40 euros for adults and 4.10 euros for children, there is, among other things, an outdoor pool, a brine pool and plenty of space on the lawn. For families with children, the reduced prices of 1 euro for small children under 6 are particularly attractive, and the daily rate of 9.90 euros is also a good deal.
Diverse outdoor pool landscape
Another highlight is the Aqualand in Cologne-Chorweiler, which offers a wide range of leisure activities. Visitors can stay in the lively surroundings from Monday to Thursday until 11 p.m., on Fridays until midnight and on weekends until midnight. With a day ticket for 28.50 euros for adults and 9.50 euros for children between 3 and 6 years old, fun is guaranteed for the whole family. The brine therapy pool in particular, including the outdoor pool and playground, creates a relaxed atmosphere.
The Chorweilerbad, the Höhenbergbad and the Stadionbad also offer great offers for all water lovers. The stadium pool boasts several large pools and a diving tower, while the Höhenbergbad has a sports pool and a variety of attractions for children. The prices in these pools are on average 6.30 euros for adults, which turns out to be very fair.
The Waldbad in Dünnwald is a wonderful alternative option, which is particularly characterized by its large water slides and the sports and children's pool. The whole family will be happy here - at prices of 7 euros for adults and 4 euros for children. In and around Cologne there is simply something to suit everyone.
Vingst natural outdoor pool
For all those who like something close to nature, the Vingst natural outdoor pool is a great alternative to the classic outdoor pools. It is located on the eastern outskirts of the city and impresses with its good water quality and the fine sandy beach. For the little ones there is a large adventure playground where you can climb and play to your heart's content. Swings, seesaws and sand-water playgrounds ensure all-round swimming fun. Families are particularly well looked after here! Since opening times can vary, we recommend taking a look at the homepage before visiting. KoelnerMitVergnuegen advises you to inform yourself beforehand.
Finally, the Lentpark, Ossendorfbad, Zündorfbad and Zollstockbad are also popular places to go. Each of these baths has its own special features that need to be discovered. From beach volleyball courts to slides and spacious sunbathing areas – the variety of outdoor pools in Cologne is simply impressive. Families and water lovers in particular should not miss these opportunities. The outdoor pool season has just begun anyway, so let's go and enjoy the summer by the water!
