Marianne Rosenberg: My name is never on my door” – A review!
In the colorful world of pop, there is an unmistakable voice that has lost none of its appeal even after decades: Marianne Rosenberg. The 70-year-old singer, known for hits like “He belongs to me” and “Marleen,” reveals that her name, which actually stands for great success, was never emblazoned on her door. She recently shared this thought as she reflected on the deeper meaning of her music. “He belongs to me, like my name on the door,” she sings, but in reality there seem to be places for Rosenberg that she doesn’t just want to share with everyone, including her home, like Haller Kreisblatt reported.
Next November, “He belongs to me” will be 50 years old – an anniversary that has a very special meaning for many. The song not only brings back memories but also feelings for Rosenberg, and as she goes on a club tour through Germany, she will combine these classics with her new hits.
Tour through Germany
The German music landscape will be enriched again in November by the artist's elf marketing tour: It starts in Dresden on November 4th, 2023, followed by performances in Stuttgart (November 7th), Mannheim (November 11th) and Cologne (November 14th), before rounding off the tour in Berlin (November 18th). After the club tour, two concerts with the band are planned for November 21st and 22nd.
- Dresden: 4. November
- Stuttgart: 7. November
- Mannheim: 11. November
- Köln: 14. November
- Berlin: 18. November
Marianne Rosenberg, born on March 10, 1955 in Berlin and raised in a family of artists, has established herself in the music scene through her unique style. At the age of 14, the talented singer won a competition in the Romanisches Café in the Europa Center and then published her first song "Mr. Paul McCartney". From then on things went uphill, and their best-known hits include “Fremder Mann” and “Lieder der Nacht”, which enjoyed great success in West Germany in the 1970s. This artist has experienced a lot over the years and sees herself not only as a musical talent, but also as a brand ambassador for important social issues.
Memories and changes
Looking back, she says that as a young artist she often doubted her place in the music business. She found support from friends like Rio Reiser and Marianne Enzensberger, who helped her find her independence. Today her partner, the journalist and politician Michael Klöckner, with whom she had a son, Max, in 1993, is an important source of support. Even though this relationship was not in the public eye for a long time, she openly describes the feeling that she was made into a product, which damaged her soul.
Although getting older is also associated with a loss of spontaneity, she discovers positive sides to it - not least thanks to the many experiences she was able to gain. She has never lost faith in the power of music; she still sings old classics and new hits with passion.
Her 22nd studio album “Bunter Planet” will be released in 2024 and has already hit the charts. With this creative energy, she brings a breath of fresh air to the German hit scene and reminds everyone that true passion never goes away.
Whether through her music or personal anecdotes, Marianne Rosenberg remains a groundbreaking example of an artist who knows that her name was never on a door, but rather has a lasting place in the hearts of her fans.
