According to reports, it is the rocker Ahmed A. from the Ruhr area, who was imprisoned for traffic offenses. The man has a striking appearance: with a height of 1.86 meters, a slim build, bald head, a full beard and a distinctive tattoo on his left arm, he is difficult to miss. The escape took place by climbing over a fence, although the exact circumstances are still unclear, according to Bild.
The police immediately launched extensive searches. Several hundred people are on duty, and a helicopter is also circling over the prison grounds. According to the initial investigation, it is suspected that Ahmed fled towards the A33. Motorists are strongly warned not to pick up hitchhikers in the prison area in order to avoid possible dangers. Another escape from Cologne
The situation is made even more tense by another incident. At the same time, an inmate from a forensic clinic in Cologne is also on the run. The 38-year-old was in custody and escaped during a supervised walk. However, according to police, this prisoner does not pose an immediate threat.
