Brauweiler under pressure: fight for the top of the table on Sunday!
The tension in the league is increasing while SV Grün-Weiss Brauweiler is in a promising position. With just three points behind league leaders FSV SW Neunkirchen-Seelscheid, a win against SSV Homburg-Nümbrecht on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025 at 3:45 p.m. could mean promotion to first place. Brauweiler comes into this duel with an impressive 6-1 win against Lindenthal and wants to increase the pressure on the competition. Loud Fupa Coach Tuna Bilgin emphasizes the importance of being focused from the start to maximize your chances of winning.
While Brauweiler is on a high, SSV Homburg-Nümbrecht is also in good shape. With 15 points from nine games, Nümbrecht is currently in fifth place. The team has already achieved impressive wins this season, such as a 5-0 win over Flittard, backed by a run of three games unbeaten across the competition. This makes the upcoming encounter an exciting duel.
The competition never sleeps
But Brauweiler is not the only club fighting for promotion. League leaders Neunkirchen are spending the week tricky as they play against sixth-placed FV Bonn-Endenich. Bonn-Endenich recently celebrated a narrow win against Schlebusch and is making progress. Coach Heiko Dietz is aware of the challenge and demands a top performance in order to shorten the gap to the top of the table to four points.
In fourth place is SC Borussia Lindenthal-Hohenlind, which also needs a win in order not to lose contact with the top. At the same time, SC Fortuna Bonn left the penultimate place after a difficult 1-0 win against Hohkeppel. Another win could take the team well out of the relegation zone and therefore they have to put everything into the balance.
The fight against relegation
While the top of the table is forming, the relegation battle is clearly visible. FV Bad Honnef recorded two important victories and is staying in the top third of the table, while TuS Mondorf is hoping for a win to avoid falling into the relegation spiral. The team has currently been waiting for success for three games and has to fight for points.
The situation also looks bleak for FV Wiehl. After a defeat against the league leaders, the gap to the saving bank is already two points. SC Blau-Weiß Köln has also stabilized with seven points in the last four games, while the Flittard game association was finally able to end its negative trend with a 5-1 win against Marialinden.
Meanwhile, SV Schlebusch is still looking for points, has suffered four defeats in a row and urgently needs to work on its own game to escape the relegation zone. SC Rheinbach has also gained some breathing room with four points from the last two games, while TuS Marialinden is fighting for every point.
The matches next weekend promise excitement and drama, and there is still a lot to be clarified in both the fight for the top and against relegation. The fans can look forward to exciting games!
