Brauweiler celebrates a landslide victory – Flittard breathes a sigh of relief in the relegation battle!
An exciting match day in the Cologne football scene brought some surprises and remarkable performances. In the top duel of the day, SV Grün-Weiss Brauweiler took on SC Borussia Lindenthal-Hohenlind and dominated the event impressively. Only a little later, the Flittard gaming association was able to make a breakthrough and say goodbye to the relegation zone.
What a game for Brauweiler! With a breathtaking first half that ended 5-0, coach Tuna Bilgin's team didn't let their opponents calm down. Taha Kökboyun opened the scoring in the 14th minute, followed by goals from Prence Mvutu (19th minute) and double goalscorer Nick Brisevac (40th, 45+1st minute). Lorenz Drobnica scored the fifth goal in injury time of the first half (45+3rd minute). Well, the first half was a real nightmare for Lindenthal. Florian Hensel was able to reduce the score to 1:5 in the 55th minute, but Niclas Hoppe made the final score 6:1 in the 89th minute. Brauweiler remains in the race for promotion, but has to keep an eye on the competition from Neukirchen. Lindenthal, on the other hand, slipped to third place after the second defeat in a row.
Flittard with a strong appearance
Flittard also showed a strong performance against TuS Marialinden and clearly won 5-1. Leo Hapke (32nd minute) and Abdellah Rabhi (38th minute) ensured a comfortable lead. After Andre Peters conceded a goal (43rd minute), which reduced the score to 1:2, the Flittarders were undeterred. Adam Bouali (79th minute), Mohamed Mastur (90th minute) and Betim Beqiri (90+5th minute) rounded off the clear success. Coach Angelo Mazza was optimistic after the game and praised his team's progress in moving further away from the relegation places.
SC Blau-Weiß Köln had to settle for a 1-1 draw in an exciting duel against TuS Mondorf. Niklas Lohrer gave Cologne the lead in the 33rd minute, but a missed penalty (50th minute) took revenge. Mondorf equalized through Ioannis Simeonidis in the 62nd minute and managed to keep the game even. Tom Gummich from Blau-Weiß received a yellow-red card in the 89th minute, which clouded the story of the game.
