In North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), both the time of lights and the time of folk festivals begin at the weekend. From October 24th to 26th, 2025, a variety of events will take place in the region that promise colorful hustle and bustle and sociable togetherness. Bonn and Münster shine
A festival of lights is also being reported in Bonn, which will attract numerous visitors from October 24th to 26th. The festival includes a tempting street food market to pamper guests' taste buds and bathe the city center in an atmospheric light - shopping is also planned for Sundays.
In Münster, however, the largest folk festival in Münsterland takes place. Herbstsend is celebrated on the Schlossplatz from October 25th to November 2nd. Diverse offers in the region
The other festivals and markets in NRW are also worth seeing. In Werne, the largest folk festival on the Lippe, the Sim-Jü, takes place from October 25th to 28th, while the autumn week in Lippstadt from October 18th to 26th offers all kinds of rides. The Weweran Wine Festival will also be celebrated in Paderborn from October 24th to 26th, and the Rock Smell Hard & Louder Festival awaits guests in Duisburg.
