On Monday evening, June 18, 2025, an escape from a forensic clinic in Cologne shocked the public. 38-year-old Andre Onstein-Karademir escaped from the LVR clinic in Cologne-Porz-Gremberghoven during a supervised walk. The Cologne police are currently looking for the man, who could not be caught even on Tuesday evening. The search was started with a contingent of police helicopters and hundreds, but unfortunately so far without success. Onstein-Karademir, who was placed in the correctional system by court order because of mental illness, has a striking description. He is between 1.70 and 1.80 meters tall, wears dark blue jeans, a black T-shirt and gray sneakers. Two distinctive scars can also be seen: an L-shaped one on the forearm and one on the left hand. A star-shaped tattoo adorns his upper right arm, while he is described as having slim, brown hair and eyes. Police have already released two mugshots to ask the public for assistance.
