Linkin Park announces spectacular appearance at Rock am Ring 2026!
On June 7, 2025, the big anniversary of “Rock am Ring” will be celebrated at the Nürburgring! An event that is celebrating its 40th edition this year. The first edition was four decades ago now, and the fans' anticipation is huge. When the weather is great, thousands of music enthusiasts gather on the festival grounds and discussions about the line-up are in full swing.
On Friday, June 6th, the crowds in front of the Mandora Stage created exciting moments. Bands like Feine Sahne Fischfilet, The Prodigy and K.I.Z. were crowd pullers. Fine Cream Fish Fillet in particular was celebrated as the secret stars of the festival opener. The headliners on the Utopia stage, including Bring Me The Horizon, Slipknot and KoRn, also created an exuberant atmosphere.
Surprises at the festival
But not everything was to the delight of the fans: the surprise band Roy Bianco & The Abbrunzati Boys
had caused disappointment among some listeners with their performance. Nevertheless, the festival was sold out in advance, in March 2025 - many visitors value the communal experience highly, often even more than the performance of the individual bands. Another highlight was a romantic moment: a fan proposed to his girlfriend during a spontaneous appearance at the campsite.
The news for next year is already in the air! Linkin Park have been announced as the first headliners for 2026, and with a bang: the band performed during the ongoing festival on Friday evening, accompanied by an impressive fireworks and laser show. This will be the sixth time in the history of Rock am Ring that Linkin Park will be on stage, and for the first time with new singer Emily Armstrong, who is the band's front woman after the tragic death of Chester Bennington.

Advance ticket sales for the next festival start on Tuesday, June 10th at 12 p.m. Early bird tickets are available for the bargain price of 179 euros. This opportunity also reinforces the impression that Linkin Park is returning for their fans after many years. Their last performances in Germany were in June 2017, and these concerts were the last festival shows before the loss of their charismatic singer.
