In an accident on Wednesday morning in Viersen-Boisheim, a 16-year-old boy was slightly injured when he fell on his moped. The incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. on Lind Street, an asphalt dirt road in the Lind/Reimesheide curve, right next to a gravel pit. According to information from Express A truck, presumably a garbage truck, was traveling in the opposite direction at the same time.
The teenager was able to speak to the driver of the truck after the fall and said he was fine. As a result, the truck driver continued his journey without fully reporting the accident. So far the police have not been able to identify the driver. For this reason, investigators from the Traffic Commissioner have asked witnesses who have information about what happened to call 02162/377-0.
