The city of Leverkusen has taken a step to make local public transport easier. Deutsche Bahn (DB) train tickets can now be purchased at the Wupsi customer center in Citypoint Wiesdorf. This means a welcome return to a usual contact point, as the DB travel center in Wiesdorf had already closed its doors at the end of June 2024. Previously, passengers only had to buy their tickets at the bus station using ticket machines. Now there is the possibility of buying tickets directly on site and also getting advice, as the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger reports.
The managing director of Wupsi, Marc Kretkowski, expressed himself positively about this new connection between local public transport and long-distance transport. “We are proud to be able to offer the ticket offer in Wiesdorf as well,” he emphasized, pointing out that Wupsi has been selling train tickets in Opladen and Bergisch Gladbach for many years. The latter offers had to be briefly suspended at the beginning of the year, but have been available again since the beginning of March.
