The city of Leverkusen has taken a step to facilitate civil traffic. From now on, Deutsche Bahn (DB) train tickets can be purchased in the WUPSI customer center in Citypoint Wiesdorf. This means a welcome return to a familiar contact point, because the DB travel center in Wiesdorf had already closed its gates at the end of June 2024. Previously, passengers only had to buy their tickets at the bus station via ticket machines. Now there is the possibility to buy tickets on site and also take advice, such as the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger reports.
The managing director of WUPSI, Marc Kretkowski, was positive about this new connection between local public transport and long -distance transport. "We are proud to be able to offer the ticket offer in Wiesdorf," he emphasized, pointing out that the Wupsi has been selling rail tickets in Opladen and Bergisch Gladbach for many years. The latter offers had to be suspended at the beginning of the year, but have been available again since the beginning of March.
