Next Sunday, June 29, 2025, there will again be Sunday shopping in many cities in North Rhine-Westphalia. The shops usually open their doors from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for all shopping enthusiasts to discover the latest trends and perhaps grab a bargain or two. Not only are the shops open, but many cities also combine these special shopping days with exciting festivals and events that ensure a colorful program.
Whether city festivals, markets or cultural events – there is something for everyone on Sunday shopping. In Aachen, for example, residents and visitors can stroll around the center and enjoy the atmosphere from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Another highlight takes place in Arnsberg, where family programs and live music are offered as part of the “Neheim Live” city festival - also on June 29th from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

- Aachen: Verkaufsoffen von 13 bis 18 Uhr am Markt in der Innenstadt.
- Arnsberg: Verkaufsoffen im Zuge des Stadtfestes „Neheim Live“, mit Live-Musik und Familienprogramm von 27. bis 29. Juni.
- Gelsenkirchen: Verkaufsoffen im Zuge der Mobilitätsschau in Gelsenkirchen-Horst.
- Krefeld: Verkaufsoffen in der Innenstadt von 13 bis 18 Uhr im Rahmen des Stadtfestes „Kultur findet Stadt“ (28. und 29. Juni).
- Lemgo: Verkaufsoffen zum Strohsemmelfest von 13 bis 18 Uhr in der Innenstadt, mit Handwerkermarkt und Gastronomie.
- Meerbusch: Verkaufsoffen in Meerbusch-Lank-Latum im Zuge des Ökomarktes von 12 bis 18 Uhr.
- Pulheim: Verkaufsoffen zum Street Food Markt von 12 bis 18 Uhr.
- Neukirchen-Vluyn: Verkaufsoffen im Zuge des Street Food Marktes von 13 bis 18 Uhr.
- Sundern: Verkaufsoffen im Zuge des Hollandmarktes von 13 bis 18 Uhr, mit rund 40 Ständen und holländischen Speisen.
- Viersen: Verkaufsoffen im Zuge des Stadtfestes „Süchtelner Vielfalt“ von 13 bis 18 Uhr, mit französischem Markt, Büchermarkt und Kunstausstellungen von Freitag bis Sonntag.
Flea markets are also planned throughout North Rhine-Westphalia this weekend, so bargain hunters will get their money's worth. This goes well with summertime, which attracts many people outside.
