DFB Cup 2025/26: Draw on June 15th – Who will win the prize?
On June 8, 2025, there will be a lot of news about the 2025/26 DFB Cup, which will soon go into the next round. Whether you're a football fan or not - things will be exciting on Sunday, June 15, 2025, because that's when the draw for the first round of the cup will take place. Where? Of course live on ZDF from 5:15 p.m. An event that many football enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting, because it will be decided which teams will meet. During last season, VfB Stuttgart were crowned champions, winning the title 4-2 in the final against Arminia Bielefeld Deichstube reported.
The line-up for the draw is already clear: a distinction is made between two pots – the professional pot and the amateur pot. The professional pot includes the 18 Bundesliga teams and 14 of the best second division teams from the previous season. The amateur pot, on the other hand, consists of 4 remaining second division teams, the best 4 clubs in the 3rd division and 21 state cup winners. The five lowest-tier teams from the upper leagues will also be included, including teams such as SV Hemelingen and SV Atlas Delmenhorst. This ensures a varied mix and numerous exciting games.
