new location with more space

The new donation camp offers more than 400 square meters of additional space compared to the previous warehouse with an area of ​​1233 square meters. This opens up new opportunities for the diakonia, which the donations for their six fair shops can bundle even more efficiently in the future. Daniel Genova, manager of the new warehouse, describes the new premises as bright and cozy, creating a pleasant atmosphere for donors and employees. The connection of the camp was planned for April 1st, and the exact address remains under lock and key.

Managing Director Susanne Hahmann expressed her gratitude for the support in the past few months and looks with the resumption of the donation acceptance. Thanks to the new landlord, which attached value to the rental to social projects, the Diakonie was able to quickly move to new premises.

commitment to the community

A total of 61 employees are employed by the Diakonie Michaelshoven, including 16 in the donation camp. A large part of these employees are people with severe disabilities or long -term unemployed who regain valuable support and a piece of normality in life through their employment. The mission of the Diakonie to work for disadvantaged people and offer them new perspectives remains firmly anchored with the opening of the new camp.

The donations are not only intended for the fair shops, where the donated articles can be purchased cheaply or distributed to the needy; They also make an important contribution to supporting social cohesion in Cologne.
