Raid in Cologne: Police strike against blackmailers in the rocker milieu

On Tuesday morning, September 30, 2025, the Cologne police carried out large-scale searches in several parts of the city. How Cologne City Gazette reported, the affected areas were Rodenkirchen, Raderthal, Mülheim and Buchforst. The investigators targeted the apartments of four suspects between the ages of 23 and 35, some of whom were assigned to the rocker milieu.

The reason for this operation was the suspicion of serious predatory extortion that occurred last Sunday, September 21st, at a sports facility in Stammheim. The suspects are said to have tried to extort around 3,000 euros from a 21-year-old. According to reports, the young man was shown a firearm, which further dramatized the situation. The exact background to these demands for money is currently unclear, and investigations into them are in full swing.

Results of the raids

During the searches, investigators found interesting loot in the apartments. A live cartridge, several cell phones, a prohibited knife and a telescopic baton were seized. These findings could provide crucial clues about the suspects' criminal activities.

This incident in Cologne is not isolated. There were also similar raids on rockers in other federal states such as Thuringia, Saxony and Bavaria daily news determines. A total of eleven buildings were searched by the police, with the focus being on cities such as Schleusingen and Leipzig. These nationwide actions show that the security authorities are increasingly taking action against the rocker milieu and the crime associated with it.

The rocker scene at a glance

In Thuringia, for example, the rocker activities were perceived as inconspicuous, but there were four investigations in 2023 and 2024, some of which were discontinued. The presence of these groups in social networks remains high, although a direct threat potential cannot currently be derived.

The current investigation results in Cologne cast a shadow on public safety and show that the police will not let up in the rocker environment. There remains great hope among the people of Cologne that the raids can calm troubled minds and curb crime.
