Drug trafficking in Cologne: family arrested, millions in sight!
On Sunday afternoon, November 9th, the Mülheim focus group discovered a sizeable drug stash in an apartment on Knauffstrasse in Cologne. The officers had previously become aware when they observed three occupants of a suspicious vehicle going into the apartment building. During a subsequent vehicle check, the police found 15 grams of marijuana.
There was then an extensive seizure in the apartment itself: the investigators seized over 3 kg of cannabis, around 240 g of hashish, more than 30 g of cocaine, 12 joints and almost 20,000 euros of alleged deal money. A family of three, consisting of a 27-year-old, a 36-year-old and a 54-year-old, are now accused of illegal drug trafficking and a criminal case has been opened.
Drug deal targeted by police
It was only on Friday evening, November 7th, that an on-site team noticed a suspected drug dealer during a restaurant inspection. The 26-year-old had around 80 g of cannabis, around 5 g of crack and more than 1,400 euros in cash with him. A search of his apartment in Cologne-Ehrenfeld uncovered additional bags of cannabis as well as small amounts of ecstasy and cocaine.
