Cologne triumvirate 2026: Focus on volunteering - that is how prince, farmer and virgin go on!

An exciting year for the Cologne Carnival is imminent: The designated triumvirate for the 2026 carnival session has now been officially presented. In the cozy rooms of the Cologne-Brück volunteer fire brigade, which celebrates its 120th anniversary this year, Prince Niklas I (Niklas Jüngling), Bauer Clemens (Clemens von Blanckart) and Jungfrau Aenne (Stefan Blatt) entered the spotlight. The trio belongs to the traditional Prince Guard Cologne 1906 e.V., one of the oldest carnival societies in the city, and has a lot of experience.

niklas, the 32-year-old insurance expert from Lindenthal, is not a newcomer to the carnival scene. He has already made a name for himself as a moderator of the “Prinzenschwof” series of events and has been a member of the Prince Guard since 2016. Bauer Clemens, 41, independent real estate manager from Junkersdorf, is also firmly rooted in the carnival. As a family man and standard bearer of the Corps à la Suite, he is also involved in the association magazine "Depesche". Jungfrau Aenne, 40 years old and coordinator at Ford, has been part of the foot corps since 2012 and has been leading the Guard Finance since 2022.

The motto of the session: volunteering in focus

The session 2026 starts in Cologne with a new motto: "Alaaf - Mer Dun et För Kölle". The focus is on the many volunteers who form the backbone of the carnival. Christoph Kuckelkorn, President of the Cologne Carnival Festival Committee, emphasizes that not only the approximately 30,000 carnivalists in the festival committee, but all Cologne residents who volunteer are focused on.
