Cologne is preparing for CSD 2025: street festival and large demo expected!
Kölner Innenstadt, Deutschland - This coming weekend Cologne will again become the colorful capital of diversity. The Christopher Street Day (CSD) takes place in the cathedral city and preparations are in full swing. The police have their hands full, because at the celebrations there is several hundred thousand visitors to be expected. It starts with a small demo on Saturday afternoon, July 5, on Roncalliplatz, where around 1,500 participants are expected. The large parade then follows on Sunday, July 6th, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., starting at the Deutzer Brücke and ending in Marzellenstrasse.
This CSD demo is the highlight of the Colognepride 2025, under the motto "For human rights-many. Together. strong!". The target group includes lesbians, gays, bisexuals and trans people, and a number of participants of up to 45,000 is expected. Over a million spectators will flank the move and celebrate the right to diversity and equality, such as ksta.de reported.

During the CSD weekend, there is not only the demos, but also a large street festival in Cologne city center, which is celebrated over the three event days.
