This drone ban applies at the start of the carnival from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. and includes centrally located celebration hotspots such as Altstadt-Nord, Südstadt and the Zülpicher district. Those responsible fear that drones could possibly be used for attack purposes and are therefore relying on preventative security.
